Planning Intern | Summer 2025
(40 hours a week)
Locations: Orlando, Miami, Boston, Atlanta, Durham
We are currently seeking a Planning student for our summer Get Inspired Internship in several offices. Do you have a passion for designing great places, safe streets, and thriving communities? Is collaboration an integral part of your design process? Inspire is an interdisciplinary collective of planners, landscape architects, and designers in support of public and private sector projects throughout the Southeast.
Our Planning team has a particular focus on the following project types:

Comprehensive Planning

Land Development Code Writing
-
Community Redevelopment Planning
-
Economic Development
-
Small Area Plans
We’re looking for a student currently enrolled in an AICP accredited Urban/City Planning degree program who has the following qualifications:

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with professionals from different disciplines and levels of experience

Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe CC experience a plus
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
GIS experience preferred
-
Organized, innovative, and ambitious
-
Commitment to learning new skills, programs, and processes
-
Able to take constructive feedback and make quick and efficient edits
-
Some travel may be required

Landscape Design Intern | Summer 2025

We are currently seeking a Landscape Architecture student for our summer Get Inspired Internship in the Orlando office. Do you have a passion for designing great places, safe streets, and thriving communities? Is collaboration an integral part of your design process? Inspire is an interdisciplinary collective of planners, landscape architects, and designers in support of public and private sector projects throughout the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the project team with design ideas in the conceptual planning and detailing
-
Assist the project team with research and site analysis on various scales
-
Support in site plan renderings, renderings, and construction documents
-
Assist in meeting project deadlines, and the delivery of successful projects
-
Work cooperatively with other professionals, project managers, and Principals, as needed, to develop and maintain production systems and quality control measures that ensure technical excellence
-
Maintain a positive image within their local geographic area or within their specific market sector to help build a positive company brand with name recognition in their field of work
Qualifications:
-
Student in Landscape Architecture an accredited program;
-
Experience in Microsoft, Adobe Suite, Sketchup, and AutoCAD experience required;
-
Experience in 3D photorealistic rendering/Lumion preferred;
-
Hand drawing and graphic skills (plan and section/elevation) required;
-
Passion for design and the profession;
-
Organized, innovative and ambitious with an interest in expanding Landscape and hardscape design experience;
-
Effective communications skills - actively listening, learning, and asking questions.
